Affordable Housing

As a candidate for City Council in Akron, OH, I will focus on advancing a comprehensive, affordable housing strategy aimed at expanding access to safe, quality homes for working families, seniors, and young people. My approach includes promoting mixed-income development, encouraging the revitalization of vacant properties, and strengthening partnerships with the Akron Metropolitan Housing Authority. Through collaboration, strategic use of federal and state resources, support for responsible landlords, and a commitment to tenant stability, we can move toward a future where Akron residents have greater access to affordable housing within their communities. At the same time, I believe every neighborhood within the ward deserves attention, safety, and well-maintained infrastructure, including secure environments and smoother streets, so that all residents, regardless of where they live, feel supported, connected, and proud of their community.
