Who is
Endia Cheatham?

A lifelong resident of North Akron and a proud graduate of North High School. She is the devoted mother of four children Duwaan, Ariel, William, and Damonae and a loving grandmother of five. Endia’s parents, Michael and Mae Jackson, faithfully served at Hills Temple Firstborn Church of the Living God and instilled in her the values of faith, service, and dedication to others.

She was also deeply influenced by the late Gertrude Jackson, a mighty prayer warrior and pioneer in Endia’s life, who taught her as a young girl the power of prayer and how to seek God wholeheartedly. Growing up in a community that nurtured and supported her helped shape her character and inspired a lifelong commitment to service, advocacy, and giving back to the very community that helped raise her.

Endia has faithfully served in ministry for more than 20 years. She has served as the Overseer of The Callin In Church and as Pastor of Just Real Ministries, among other ministry assignments. An entrepreneur and community servant at heart, Endia has been used in evangelism, traveling across the country to share the gospel of Jesus Christ while engaging in outreach efforts that provide healing, meals, and the message of hope that Emmanuel God is with us. Endia has mentored several women over the years and continues to provide both practical and spiritual mentorship to the people of God, helping them learn how to hear God's voice and diligently pursue a Kingdom mindset. Her heart to serve has also led her to provide outreach ministry in multiple states, including Ohio, California, Michigan, Georgia, and Indiana.

Her life’s work has centered on building, supporting, and uplifting people, particularly those who have historically been overlooked or under-resourced. Over the years, she has founded and led several community-focused businesses and organizations, including beauty salons, an agency serving individuals with developmental disabilities, NYCC–Neighborhood Youth Community Center, LLC, Grandpa’s and Grandma’s World, LLC, Make a Joyful Noise, LLC., and Endearing Care, LLC. Each of these endeavors reflects her belief that strong communities are built through care, opportunity, and intentional investment.

Her heart for service continues to grow as she seeks to serve in a political capacity within the City of Akron. Concerned about the economic growth and future of her urban community, Endia feels called to lead with integrity and purpose. Her commitment to the Lord’s work and her belief that the residents of Akron deserve transparent, accountable leadership fuel her passion to create meaningful change both in the marketplace and within the body of Christ.

Endia holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Christian Leadership and Business and is expected to graduate this year with a Master’s and Ph.D. in Christian Counseling. She is also a Board-Certified Mental Health Coach, Professional Life Coach, Military and First Responder Coach, and holds certifications in Addiction and Sexual Behavior, Trauma and Neglect for Youth and Adults, and Adult Spiritual First Aid. These credentials represent not only academic achievement but years of hands-on work supporting individuals and families through real-life challenges.

As the scripture declares in Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” Endia’s life is a testimony of faith, service, and purpose—an unfolding journey of a woman committed to uplifting her community and answering the call to serve.
